I can’t believe something so seeming simple appears to be next to impossible. There has to be a solution.
All I want to do is have a password-protected folder on a flash drive, although at this point I would settle for a password-protected folder on my HARD drive!
Anyone know of freeware that could help me out? Shareware? Anyware? I have been searching for hours and, nothing.
Note: I do NOT want to use Disk Utility to make a secure disk image. That is ridiculous! I do NOT want to encrypt, either. I just want a password-protected folder, is that so much to ask?
This maybe what you seek:

any one knows one of best malware protection and removal softwares free or shareware any best ones please help
Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware are the best anti-spyware applications available (you can have more than one). Other free anti-spyware programs would be Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, AVG Anti-spyware (formally Ewido), A-squared, Spyware Terminator and SpywareBlaster.
I strongly recommend using Firefox as your primary Web browser, It is safer and better than Internet Explorer. Get the add-on NoScript for Firefox to prevent click-jacking. The AdBlock Plus extension will allow you to surf virtually ad-free. I also recommend CCleaner which is a free system optimization and privacy tool.

My office dial-up disconnects on idle. Is there any software/freeware/shareware that mimics mouse movement when idle?
You could use a macro tool to create a macro that would mimic mouse movements. One such tool can be found at http://www.vsisystems.com/macrowizard.htm
I don’t know if it can be triggered by the computer going to idle mode, but you certainly can set up a scheduled task in Win XP that would run the macro, say, every 5 minutes.

I have VISTA Ultimate running as a headless server. The RAID system takes 2 minutes to initialize, and the system finally boots in about 3-4 minutes. I want the computer speaker to BEEP when the user logon screen appears to signal when the shared resources are ready. I would think a simple BATCH file would work for this, but I don’t know where to put it (but there seems to be no "BEEP" command in VISTA anyway). Been searching the net for a while now, and can’t even find a utility that will do this. Don’t want to have to pay for any shareware to do this seemingly simple task.
Have you thought about writing the program and then editing the boot.ini file so it is set to run where you want it to in the lineup? Just an idea. may not work.
