Tyrian

Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling game developed by Eclipse Productions and published by Epic MegaGames in 1995. This game originally came with four episodes. In 1999, Tyrian was re-released as Tyrian 2000, which includes a fifth episode and additional ships.

This game has been released as freeware in 2004. In 2007, the original Pascal source code was licensed to a small group of people, who rewrite it in C as an open source project called OpenTyrian.

I’ll never stop underlining the greatness of the musics. If you happen to have any spare time, why don’t you make a video of the last level of this episode? The music there was so wonderful

Nope, that wasn’t much slower than you see it in this video. I just was a bit confused getting into the special stage, because it was a long time since I played this game and I didn’t manage it in the dry run before I recorded the actual video.

Well, CuteFloor gave me his magical script, it’s quite complex for such a simple task. But it’s heavily optimized for YouTube. Send me a message if you’re interested :)
