The Incredible Toon Machine is a puzzle game developed by Jeff Tunnell Productions and published by Sierra On-Line in 1994. Even though it has been advertised as a sequel to Sid & Al’s Incredible Toons, it’s actually an enhanced version of it done for Microsoft Windows. Both games are sister products of Sierra’s famous The Incredible Machine series.

Since it’s been 3 years since I joined YouTube today, I uploaded another video of Shadow Warrior, a first-person shooter done by 3D Realms in 1997. It uses Ken Silverman’s Build engine. In this game, you take the role of Lo Wang, a master ninja assassin. There were three expansion packs in development, but they were dropped because of disappointing sales compared to Duke Nukem 3D. The unreleased “Wanton Destruction” expansion pack has been published for free in 2005.

Z is a real-time strategy game developed by the Bitmap Brothers and published by Virgin Interactive and GT Interactive in 1996. Unlike traditional real-time strategy games, you don’t need to collect resources and build structures to produce your army. The goal is to capture the flags to take over the territories and to finish the enemy. The more territories you control, the less time you need to produce soldiers and tanks. Z has been released for MS-DOS, Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn.

Even though I already uploaded a Z video two years ago, this one should be much better than my old one. I hope you like it

LameDuke is an early beta version of Duke Nukem 3D, done around December 1994. It has been published as an anniversary special one year after the first shareware release. As you can see, there are many things which were changed or removed later. You also might notice the music of their previous game, Rise of the Triad. This version also uses a quite early version of Ken Silverman’s Build engine.

Tyrian is an arcade-style vertical scrolling game developed by Eclipse Productions and published by Epic MegaGames in 1995. This game originally came with four episodes. In 1999, Tyrian was re-released as Tyrian 2000, which includes a fifth episode and additional ships.

This game has been released as freeware in 2004. In 2007, the original Pascal source code was licensed to a small group of people, who rewrite it in C as an open source project called OpenTyrian.

Duke Nukem 3D is a first-person shooter game done by 3D Realms in 1996. It is part of the Duke Nukem series and successor of Duke Nukem II. You’re playing an imperious action hero, who needs to fight through several levels with a nice range of different weapons. It has been released for PC MS-DOS, Apple Macintosh, Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade and Sega Saturn. There also was a Sega Genesis / Mega Drive port in Brazil.

Since the source code has been released in 2003, there also are free source ports to newer systems with several enhancements. However, they still need the original game data in order to work.

This is the playable MS-DOS shareware version of the game.

Escape from Delirium is a home-made adventure game developed by Stephan and Walter Koch and published by Magicom Multimedia in 1995. In this shareware imitation of Monkey Island, you got the role of Paul Cole who investigates the discovery of a corpse in an abandoned subway tunnel. This is one of the few games that supports the Gravis UltraSound card.

Don’t laugh too hard at it, they did it in their spare time. It’s not that bad after all
