PC-Bakterien! is an arcade puzzle game done by TOM Productions in 1993. It was originally done in German and shipped as shareware on several local PC gaming magazines, and later translated to English by the original author. In this game, you take the role of Mikky, a worm-like defense microbe, and your goal is to defend the organism against the microscopic meanies. PC-Bakterien! has been released for PC MS-DOS and it’s one of the few games that is still maintained today.

(Click More Info for Download Link) A simple platform game that was originally created to show some of the graphics capabilities of Windows 3, you find your way through levels filled with enemies, hard to reach ledges and power ups.
This is one of the recent versions of MicroMan, with updated sounds and visuals; I really like the quiet humming noises you hear throughout the level, its like you’re inside a computer.

Criminally forgotten bloody fighting game which makes Mortal Kombat series look childish. 10 murderous characters (+ 4 hidden), lots of moves and specials, great artwork & music and of course, Slaughter Moves, which are simply Fatalities done as an art of absurd violence. Gameplay reminds me Street Fighter 2 (3 keys for punches, 3 keys for kicks) mixed with MK or Time Killers. At release it was distributed as a shareware but somewhere in 2000 authors (two guys, apparently!) decided to make it freeware.
Too bad that there are no news about TS2 (”We are aiming for a 2007 release”) but some AWESOME arts of few characters and that’s all… More information, more games and download of Timeslaughter at website: http://www.bloodlustsoftware.com/main.html
Also DevianArt account of Ethan James Petty, the main artist and designer: http://ringmasterbent.deviantart.com/
The gameplay done by me is a pretty crap – for too long time I haven’t been playing any fighting games, so you won’t see much. No Slaughter Moves, the level is not the best (Lazarus itself is weak – but AI tactic is often to make you into the corner od the screen and beat up to bloody pulp)… Maybe next time I’ll show something better.
Just noticed – in the intro at one point Smegma’s (surgeon-like character) voice is cut. Dunno how it happened…

I stumbled over this game when I tried to get a shareware of PICKLE WARS. I heard about the latter in the Bobby Prince at Id software video I posted before, so I tried to get that music aswell. I got it, yes, but just a MIDI, the game contains a crappy music first
A shelf full of DOS games, hundreds of shareware and full programs. I ever overlooked it…Until today..

This is an early alpha version of Warcraft II, a real-time strategy game done by Blizzard Entertainment in 1995. This demo from August 1995 was shipped to several PC magazines for preview use. It was not intented to be given to the end-user. Today, you’re free to try it, but Blizzard does not provide any support.
Regarding to the gameplay, it is still pretty close to the original game, but it already provides SVGA graphics, larger maps, a new fog of war and new units and buildings, even though you can use a few of them only. One interesting thing is that there are four types of resources: gold, lumber, oil and ore.

Let’s play some old games with dos !
Now you guys see a full walkthrough from Monster Bash.
Monster Bash (called Graveyard during development) is a side-scrolling platform video game developed and published by Apogee Software on 9 April 1993 for the MS-DOS PC. The game features 16-color EGA graphics and IMF AdLib compatible music. It was developed by Frank Maddin and Gerald Lindsly.
The game is divided in three episodes or parts. The first episode of the game is available to download under a shareware license, but the two remaining parts of the game must be purchased. The registered game also removes advertisements from the first episode and enables cheat code functionality.
